Nana's House
My mother has always been into gardening and the outdoors and it shows when you visit her house. Caring for flowers and the animals that frequent her land is what she lives for, its what motivates her and occupies the majority of her time.
Whenever I visit I typically always have a camera, actually pretty much wherever I go I have a camera with me, and there usually is never a shortage of things to capture. Even when I think that I have pretty much taken a picture of everything that is interesting I am always surprised to find something new.
Owning roughly 25 acres of land gives her ample room to plant as many gardens as she wants as well as the ability to enjoy nature without the hustle and bustle of the day-to-day grind she left behind after finally retiring. Her property is pretty much her and my stepfathers sanctuary. Filling their days with surprises, from the animals that visit, to the peacefulness of the evenings echoing with the sounds of frogs and crickets.
When I get a chance to visit I always feel relaxed. It may be due to the fact that my cell phone has no coverage, but I think it has more to do with the idea that time tends to slow down a bit. The outdoors and the variety of things to explore continue to provide great memories.
Capturing these little nuggets of memories will always give me something to look back on and cherish.
P.S. I love you mom
