Great Photography Sites
Since photography is such a great passion of mine I am always searching for great websites that either feature great photography, have articles related to improving your photography or reviewing some type of photograph equipment. To be honest I am definitely a gadget junky as well and the internet provides ample sites to discuss the gear side of photography.
I have compiled a list of the sites that I find myself visiting time and time again. These range from amateur as well as professional photographer sites, street photography sites, all the way to camera equipment review sites. I will continue to update this page overtime to keep track of any updates. I am always searching for great sites, so if there are others that you feel are great please post them.
Tools & Applications
There are also lots of great sites that are dedicated to tools and applications to support photography. The ones I am digging the most currently are Visual Supply Company's Preset film emulation packs and NIK Software's series of editing tools. NIK was recently purchased by Google so it will be interesting to see what they end up doing in the future.
Street Photography Sites
The next collection represents some of the better street photography sites I have discovered. Most of these tend to provide a focus on the actual photographs and not necessarily provide much in the way of details, however Eric Kim and Thomas Leuthard have some great resources, and all are worth checking out if you haven't.
Sites Using Photography
This collection doesn't necessarily pertain to photography, however they utilize excellent photography to help tell their stories. The latest web trends seem to be heading in the direction of using larger and larger imagery throughout sites and I can attest that we are experiencing this more and more with our work.
These are sites that provide workshops for helping you improve your photography as well as the instructors that provide them.
I am sure everyone has heard about these folks and I don't necessarily focus on them, however I have found that these four definitely give back to the photo community. They all have great websites and provide a ton of resources to help you in your photography endeavors. These definitely are all of the greats and I have left a bunch out, but as of lately I have found myself exploring these four more often then others.
